The Junior Engineer Academy (JIA) from the Alexander von Humboldt Gymnasium in Schweinfurt makes regular excursions where 8th and 9th grade students learn how engineers work in theory and practice. For this the 14 students of the semester visited TRIPS in Grafenrheinfeld and the basics of automation technology were explained and demonstrated to them in the training academy.

While one of the two groups was instructed in the basics of software programming by training manager Willi Stein, the other was allowed to wire up the control cabinets. Afterwards, the groups were swapped so that everyone got a complete insight.
