Trips supplies TRIMOT Withdrawable Technology for Cooling Supply at Munich Airport
A new satellite building at Terminal 2 aiming to expand the capacity of Munich Airport required the modernization of the technical infrastructure. For this purpose the new Power Plant East has been erected for the supply of the airport with electrical power and cooling. Now six turbo refrigeration units are in use, each with a cooling capacity of up to 5.5 megawatts.
For these cooling units Trips supplied the hardware engineering, construction and commissioning of TRIMOT MCC low voltage switchgears, distribution systems and devices.
The TRIMOT withdrawable technology is placed into Rittal Ri4Power TS 8 Cabinets. Read more about the modernization of the power supply at Munich Airport in an article published in the Rittal magazine “be top” (be top – Unternehmensmagazin der Friedhelm Loh Group, 2-2015).
