A central component of our quality promise is the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test): Each system is comprehensively tested before delivery to ensure that it exactly meets your specifications and is ready for immediate use – for shorter commissioning times and maximum operational reliability.

Switchgear construction involves the planning and implementation of electrical switching and control systems for energy distribution and the automation of technical systems. Components such as circuit breakers, control devices, and protection technology are designed, assembled, and wired in switch cabinets. The aim is to ensure the safe, standard-compliant control and monitoring of processes.

A motor control center (MCC) is a central switchgear in which several motor starters and drive outputs are grouped together.

It is used to switch, protect, and monitor industrial motors safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Typically, an MCC includes components such as:

  • Motor protection switches
  • Contactors
  • Circuit breakers
  • Soft starters
  • Frequency converters

Its modular and clear design enables maintenance-friendly control of a large number of drives.

The MCC is mainly used in industrial and process plants where numerous motors are operated continuously and safely.

The TRIPS group offers comprehensive certifications that meet international standards and ensure a high level of safety and easy approval of your systems. These include UL508A certification for industrial switchgear up to 1000 volts, UL698A certification for control cabinets for potentially explosive atmospheres, and EAC approval for the Eurasian Customs Union. These certifications facilitate the commissioning of your systems not only in North America and Canada, but also in other countries worldwide.

TRIPS Group switchgear construction covers a wide range of services to ensure the highest quality and efficiency. This includes checking the consistency of order documents and ensuring compliance with all standards. Up to 50 switchgear assemblies can be manufactured daily in production, supported by state-of-the-art technologies. Other services include the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), presetting of all components, container assembly and final documentation and adjustments. These comprehensive services accompany your project from planning to commissioning and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

The standards DIN EN 61439 for the construction and testing of low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies, DIN EN 60204-1 for the electrical equipment of machines and DIN EN ISO 13849 in the area of functional safety apply in particular to switch cabinet construction. VDE 0100 for the installation of electrical systems and DIN EN 61010 for the safety of electrical measuring, control and laboratory equipment are also relevant. These standards ensure quality, safety and legal compliance in switch cabinet construction.
