Engineering Base is an object-oriented platform for electrical engineering – developed by AUCOTEC. It combines the advantages of classic CAD systems with database-supported planning and is particularly suitable for complex industrial and infrastructure projects.
Engineering Base works with a central database (“single source of truth”). This enables cross-disciplinary work, automated evaluations, high data consistency and maximum revision security – all in one integrated system.
Engineering Base is ideal for planning electrical and automation technology in the energy and process industry. It supports circuit diagrams, cable management, terminal diagrams, cabinet layout and integration into P&ID and IT systems such as SAP or PLM (depending on the version and license scope).
TRIPS uses Engineering Base for standard-compliant electrical planning and automated documentation – including parts lists, terminal diagrams and revision management.
