Foundation of Elektro-Schaltbau und Vertriebs GmbH Trips by Waltraud and Karlheinz Trips. The initial business purpose is the sale of electrical and electrotechnical control systems and the acquisition of industrial agencies.
Management is transferred to siblings Caroline and Christian Trips. Gradually, a customer-oriented service company emerges that supplies complete automation solutions from a single source and rapidly expands its industrial representations.

ISO 14001 has been a globally recognized basis for environmental management systems since 1996 and covers all aspects of continuous improvement in environmental performance. TRIPS has fulfilled all the necessary requirements for a long time and is now officially certified to DIN ISO 14001 at the end of the year.
For 33 years, Caroline Trips & Christian Trips, as siblings, have been developing the TRIPS Group in the 2nd generation. Time to prepare the company for the #nextgeneration and pave the way for the future - for their children.
Linus Trips, Christian's son, has been integrated into the company since 2019. In the coming years, Paulina and Jonas Trips, also Christian's children, and Ferdinand Winter, Caroline's son, will be integrated into the family business and introduced to it accordingly. Caroline Trips is the first woman to head the Main-Franconian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Würzburg-Schweinfurt) in an honorary capacity.
In 2024, TRIPS Automatyka Polska opened a state-of-the-art production facility in Krapkowice, Poland, with an area of around 3,000 square meters. This investment strengthens production capacity and underlines the TRIPS Group's commitment to growth and innovation in Eastern Europe.
In 2025, the TRIPS Group will employ over 330 people at five locations and consistently continue its growth trajectory. With the planned new building, which will be completed at the end of 2025, we are creating the basis for further expansion and paving the way for the realization of our TRIPS 100 vision by 2030.
